Embracing your crown unapologetically is when you fearlessly wear your crown in its natural state without minding the negative connotations ascribed to it.

EMBRACE THE CROWN

Embrace The Crown (ETC) is an empowerment initiative that was established by Ifediora Organization with a vision to celebrate and empower Black women. The initiative was established in direct response to the prejudices and stereotypes faced by those with afro-textured hair.

OUR MISSION

At the core of our mission is the firm role in empowering Black women and men to wholeheartedly embrace their natural hair journey, fostering a sense of pride and confidence in their unique beauty. We are dedicated to shedding light on the cultural challenges that persist within the afro hair community, aiming to spark conversations that lead to greater understanding and inclusivity

Embrace The Crown believes…

All Black women and men should EMBRACE their natural hair.

The community should have access to educational information about hair care and hair empowerment.

Women and men should have safe spaces to discuss about their difficulties with hair esteem

Everyone should be an advocate for afrotextured hair and work for representation in formal settings.

“Your crown is beautiful, and no perm or weave will make it any more so.

Our Philosophy

Embrace The Crown (ETC) believes that every woman, especially Black women, should embrace and feel beautiful about the unique body attributes that God has gracefully given them. ETC is dedicated to inspiring women to love and cherish their natural hair, advocating for a caring, compassionate, and well-informed approach towards building self-esteem related to hair. This initiative not only focuses on personal empowerment but also advocates from a social justice perspective.
