ABOUT US

WE ARE PROUD CUSTODIANS OF THE CULTURE

Ifediora is a non-governmental organization based in the United States of America. Our purpose is to uplift Africa from the mortification it has received and influence individuals to have pride in their African roots. The word Ifediora belongs to the Igbo ethnic group in Nigeria. It means "that which is good for the community." This phrase aligns with our purpose of cultural awareness and socioeconomic progress for the African/Black community.

We are a global organization that has supporters from across the globe. We serve Africans, people of African descent, and non-African ethnicities that want to learn about Africa. We exist to encourage an appreciation for African culture and address social issues that affect Africans and persons of Afro descent. Our mission will be achieved by positive contributions through outreach programs.

O ji ngaji eri chetakwa ndi ji aka.

Translation: a person who eats with a spoon should remember those who use their hands to eat.

Since its inception, Ifediora has developed a number of programs aimed at improving the community. These include a campaign to empower Black women with textured hair, nutrition and wellness services, and a Christian community for millennials.

Our diverse range of programs has consistently brought about positive transformations in the lives of individuals across the globe. Over the years, we have seen remarkable changes in people's lives, as our initiatives have touched hearts and empowered minds on a higher scale.
